RULES & REGULATIONS

GENERAL PULLING AND TRACK RULES
INCLUDING ALL WEIGHT BRACKETS AND DIVISIONS


• Contest open to rubber tire tractors, two-wheel drive only may be used
• Tractors to be of brand name and stock appearing
• Scale weigh-in includes driver with up to 1% post-pull reweigh
• Anything falling off tractor during pull is automatic disqualification
• No riders on tractor at any time
• Pulling position determined by luck of the draw
• One hook allowed each tractor driver per class on same tractor
• Driver must remain seated at all times with at least one hand on the wheel while

   pulling
• No part of tractor may touch boundary line or be disqualified
• No differential locks allowed
• Anyone under 16 must have parent or guardian sign to register
• Weights most be secured to tractor
• Street legal pickups 26 inch max hitch height D.O.T. tires-NOT CUT
• Flag officials must be obeyed at all times or you will be disqualified
• Maximum two minute delay to hook before loss of pull
• Designated Head Track Official may allow a puller to drop 2 places for repairs on

    request
• Any disputes will be settled by track officials as to rules and equipment
• Al other division and weight class rules by EMTPA must be followed
• Track layout: provide a clearly marked dividing chalk line between pulling tracks

    when laid out as side by side tracks and run together. Each track shall have side

    boundaries and have a minimum of two feet clearance between adjacent tracks.
• Every tractor must cross the scales before hooking to the sled and must reweigh

    again if it leaves the lineup area before it will be allowed to hook
• Members are allowed to drop one pull from their point total for our scheduled

    pulls
• First place position tractor must reweigh after pulling

ALL DECISIONS BY DESIGNATED TRACK OFFICIALS OR SLED OPERATOR ARE FINAL

 

These general rules revised and adopted by the EMTPA on February 2007 are to be agreed on and followed by anyone hooking to or using the EMTPA pulling sled and related equipment.
